TextArea With Variables Widget

 

 

This widget is the stock Adobe Captivate 6.x widget that comes with Adobe Captivate… with one enhancement:

It lets you use a variable as the default text.  Insert the variable using double dollar signs.  Enjoy!

Requirements

  • Publish for Flash Player 9 or above.
  • For swf/htm output, not HTML5 compatible.
  • Adobe Captivate 6.x

    How do I put a line break in the default text. I’d like to start the text area off with 2 paragraphs and allow the user to edit them?

      try using backslash n
      “n”

        Tried … it just shows up as n :(

          I get confoosed. Maybe it’s “/n”.
